In one of his recent posts on Instagram, the veteran comedian-host warned the public to not easily believe fake posts using his identity. “Anak ng pating eh halos pitong buwan pa bago mag-election pero nagkalat na fake news! Kesyo ako daw, gamit ang mukha at pangalan ko, iniendorso ang isang kandidato!” Joey wrote.

The Henyo Master shared this post with the photo of the popular TVJ trio (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon). He reiterated that the politician that he will vote for is no other than the person who was with him in the photo.

Even before the Senate President announced his vice presidential candidacy, Joey has already hinted about this on his social media post. “Eh PITONG presidente na kaming magkakasama! Kailangan pa bang i-explain yan?” the Eat Bulaga host said.

He also called out to those who are claiming to be his “friends” to do fact-checking first before posting anything that involves his name. “Erection ang problema ko hindi election! Ginagalit nyo ‘ko eh! @helenstito,” Joey de Leon quipped.

Tito Sotto’s son Gian Sotto reacted to this with, “Hahaha! Iba talaga magalit si Ninong Joey! “ while the Senator’s daughter Ciara Sotto commented “love you pare.” Several netizens laughed at this witty caption of the Henyo Master and there were also those who showed support for the candidacy of Tito Sotto.
