Raffy Tulfo considered these two politicians for refusing to run for Vice President
Senatorial candidate Raffy Tulfo revealed that he refused to accept the offer of presidential candidate Manny Pacquiao to run as the Senator’s Vice President in the 2022 elections because of these two politicians.
From being a popular TV host who became the “sumbungan” of the people, Tulfo is set to enter another platform to serve the Filipinos. He bid goodbye to his show on TV5 for his political plan.
It was previously rumored that he will be the running mate of Pacquiao, however, Tulfo denied this saying that he can’t go against President Rodrigo Duterte. Previously, the Chief Executive accepted the nomination of PDP-Laban for the position of Vice President but he later on, it was Senator Bong Go who filed his COC for VP. Raffy Tulfo is known supporter of the current administration.
“It was the camp of Sen. Manny Pacquiao and I courteously turned it down. Sinabi ko na napakabilis naman ata agad yun bang paglundag, vice president agad. Sabi ko, isa pa, hindi ko puwedeng banggain si Pangulong Duterte dahil siya’s kaibigan ko,’ the senatorial aspirant revealed during a recent interview on Karen Davila’s Headstart program on ANC.
Aside from PRRD, Tulfo was also considering the fact that Senate President Tito Sotto is also running for Vice President. “Isa pa, nandiyan si Sen. Tito Sotto, di ko rin puwedeng banggain. Pumayag naman sila,” he said.
Raffy Tulfo is running for Senator and was included in the slate of Manny Pacquiao. He also accepted the offer to be one of the senatorial candidates who are on the list of presidential candidate Ping Lacson as a guest candidate.
Tulfo also shared that he had conversation with the camp of presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos. “Meron lang bagay-bagay na hindi pa muna kaya maging guest candidate ako for one reason or another,” he said .
