PAGASA Says Habagat to Bring Cloudy to Rainy Weather Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (October 14, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The habagat would also bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and central Luzon.

The weather agency also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

The remaining parts of the country would also have partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rains or thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon would be moderate to rough due to the moderate to strong moving in the southwest to southeast direction.

The surrounding sea condition over Visayas and Mindanao would be slight to moderate due to the light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to northwest direction.

On the other hand, Typhoon Maring took the lives of at least 13 people after devastating Northern Luzon.
