Janus del Prado shared the story of how he was scammed
Actor Janus del Prado revealed in his recent Instagram post that he was victimized by a scammer and he warned his social media followers about this.
Janus is known for being one of the celebrities who are active on social media, especially on Instagram. However, his recent post was not about his “Tito Quotes” or cryptic posts about certain personalities.
The actor shared the bad thing that happened to him. “Share ko lang. Na scam ako. 1,500 lang naman. Pero malaki na din yun para sa akin lalo na sa panahon ngayon,” he said.
Janus del Prado said that he was looking for a house for rent where he could transfer as much as possible because he already overstayed in the place where he is now. Then, he saw an ad saying that a house was for rent for P5,000 only and so, he paid the reservation fee that was worth P1,500 and he already paid that. However, when he visited the place, he found out that it was a scam.
“Pagdating ko dun kanina sabi ng may ari nung lugar scam daw. Hay ulit. Sa dami ng pinagdadaanan ko ngayon parang dapang dapa ka na sinisipasipa ka pa,” the actor said.
He is also worried that the said scammer was able to get his personal information including his cellphone number and email address. With this, the actor gave a warning to the public. “So for now warningan ko na lang kayo. Any ad na ang lugar ay sa gracepoint at si kuya ang makausap niyo eh scam,” he said.
Janus del Prado is also hoping that the money transfer company will be able to refund the money that he transferred to the account of the scammer. In his post, the actor included the screenshots of the scammer’s photo and social media account. However, he said that he is not sure if the scammer was using his own photo or just pretended to be that person.
