Faith Da Silva reaction to the rumored relationship with Albert Martinez. Here’s her statement.
ALBERT MARTINEZ – Kapuso actress Faith Da Silva did not confirm or deny her relationship with Albert Martinez and this is her statement.
In a previous article, rumors about veteran actor Albert Martinez being in a relationship with a young Kapuso actress have emerged online. The said young actress is Faith Da Silva, 20 years old, who is almost 40 years younger than him. Such May-December love affairs are no longer unusual nowadays. Also, many celebrity couples have a huge age gap and it didn’t matter to them even a bit.
Albert is 61 while Faith is 20. The rumors have actually begun in July of this year but neither of them has confirmed nor denied the rumors. They kept their silence about the matter. They are working in Las Hermanas and during the lock-in shooting, that’s where their love blossomed as per the grapevine.
The veteran has been a widow for six years already. His late wife actress Liezl Martinez died in 2015 because of stage 4 cancer. The late actress’ battle against breast cancer started in 2007. At that time, it was found out that she has stage 3 breast cancer. And at the age of 47, she went away peacefully in her sleep.
And now, finally speaking about the rumors. Da Silva said that they have a different relationship. On the other hand, she is thankful that she met him because he’s been supportive of her and guided her. When she was asked about the possibility of loving someone older than her, this is her statement:
“For me, walang edad na pinipili ang pagmamahal. Basta maramdaman mo na totoo yung nararamdaman mo sa tao. Regardless of the age, kahit anong bagay ‘yan, basta mahal ninyo ang isa’t isa, wala kayong tinatapakang tao, e, go lang ‘yan!”
She calls her “Direk Albert” but when it comes to rumors about them, it’s accordingly a passing topic they would talk about while shooting. She said as per PEP, “Para sa aming dalawa kasi, professional lamang lahat. Walang ilangan.”
