Albert Martinez talked about his new movie ‘The Housemaids’
The said movie is a psycho-thriller that was based on the South Korean movie with the same title. Based on the article in PUSH, the veteran actor expressed happiness that after a long time, he made his comeback on the big screen.
He said that these past few years, most of his projects are on TV and with this new film project, he said that he really likes his character.
The veteran actor also talked about the intimate scenes that he did with Kylie. He said that he did a different approach in this new movie than what he did before when he did the movie Scorpio Nights 2 with former actress Joyce Jimenez in 1999.
“Si Joyce compared to Kylie, as far as the scene is concerned, mas inalagaan ko si Kylie. I was very, very careful. That’s why we did yung rehearsal namin, we talked about it,” Albert Martinez said. He also said that he and Kylie did the scenes as precisely as they could be. In other words, it was rehearsed and choreographed.
“Kasi the way we did it with Joyce it was totally different. We were given a scene, there was a camera and the director said, ‘Okay do this position and the movements and the rest is yours.’ So ganun yung ginawa namin with Joyce. With Kylie it’s totally orchestrated,” the veteran actor said.
Then, Albert also shared another challenge that he had to overcome in portraying his role. In the movie, he was playing a 50-year-old man when in real life, he is a decade older. He said that this age difference turned out to be very demanding. In order to prepare for this, he had to work out and watch his diet.
The Housemaid also features Jaclyn Jose, Alma Moreno, and Louise Delos Reyes, and it is directed by Roman Perez.
