Projects of John Lloyd Cruz with GMA are now pushing through
A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz reportedly has accepted the talent fee offer of GMA after another negotiation took place between them.
Fans of John Lloyd have been waiting for his TV comeback since it was announced that he will be doing a sitcom in the Kapuso network. There were also reports saying that he will do a movie.
However, just recently, veteran entertainment reporter Cristy Fermin said that the project that John Lloyd Cruz will be doing with GMA will not push through. According to Cristy, the two camps did not agree with one thing – the talent fee.
On the other hand, based on the article in Bandera, in a recent episode of Cristy’s radio program on Radyo Singko 92.3 News FM with Rommel Chika, she mentioned that another negotiation happened between the actor and the management of the Kapuso network. “Nag-meeting na ulit ang production, tuloy na ulit siya sa gagawin niya,” the veteran showbiz reporter said. Her co-host said that it appeared that the talent fee issue was fixed and agreed to meet between what both sides were pushing.
“Mukhang may nakapagsabi na sa kanya, na payo ng mga kaibigan na, ‘Lloydie, ang dami-daming artista na walang trabaho ngayon, e, ikaw o meron. Kunin mo na ‘yan,’ parang ganu’n,” Cristy Fermin said about John Lloyd Cruz.
Meanwhile, it was revealed in a recent article why the A-list actor had a rugged look in 2019. It was for his role in the movie Historya Ni Ha directed by Lav Diaz. Despite the bashing and negative reactions that he received for shedding off his “boy next door” look, John Lloyd did not say anything.
