Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao, and Aurora would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the habagat and Intertropical Convergence Zone.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country would also experience similar weather conditions with possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

“Bagamat nakalayo na, ito ay humihila pa rin sa habagat or southwest monsoon [na] nakakaapekto sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon,” weather specialist Ariel Rojas said.

The weather agency also warned the fisherfolks that sea ventures over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan remain risky due to the effects of habagat.

“Dahil pa rin sa epekto ng habagat, mataas pa rin po ang alon kaya’t bawal munang pumalaot ‘yung ating kababayang mangingisda at maliliit na sasakyang pandagat sa karagatan ng [nasabing lugar],” Rojas added.
