Julia Barretto was asked about her aunt Claudine Barretto
Di Na Muli actress Julia Barretto shared her thoughts on the acting prowess of her aunt Optimum Star Claudine Barretto.
Just like other Barrettos, Julia is also treading the path of show business. From her younger years, she has been in front of the camera. Currently, Julia is promoting her new series on TV5 with Marco Gumabao and Marco Gallo.
During a recent media conference for the said series, Julia Barretto received a comment that she is inheriting the acting prowess of her aunt Claudine Barretto. However, the younger Barretto said that her aunt is too good at her craft.
“Naku, nakuha, siguro, wala. Kasi nag-iisa lang siya, eh. Napakahusay niya and growing up, you know, I’ve been always vocal about it, I have always been a fan of her and of her works and of her projects and I really look up to her growing up as an actress,” she said.
Julia added that she and Claudine are different when it comes to their craft. “Iba talaga siya umarte. Iba talaga siya,” the younger actress said about the Optimum Star.
Julia also admitted that she is still improving when it comes to acting. She said that she is trying her best every day and every opportunity that she is receiving to portray certain characters.
The young actress said that what she is doing also aims to make the people around her proud and to pay the trust that is being given to her. “I think that’s always been the goal- to help breathe life into the character that I’m given,” Julia Barretto added.
Meanwhile, she was also asked about the things that she does not want to recall anymore. Once again, Julia mentioned something about her family. She said that as much as possible, she does not want to go back to the time when she has to say goodbye to her grandfather.
