OLIVIA RODRIGO – Filipino-American singer-songwriter and actress Olivia Rodrigo has shared an angst-filled new music video for her song ‘Brutal’

Fil-Am singer Olivia Rodrigo became one of the biggest music stars after the release of her debut hit single “Drivers License.” She’s the first breakout star of 2021.

The song of the 18-year-old artist becomes world-breaking and chart-topping. The song broke Spotify’s record twice in the first week of its release.

Last July, former US President Barack Obama invited Olivia Rodrigo to the White House to encourage youths to get the COVID-19 vaccine. She also gets to meet President Joe Biden and Chief COVID-19 medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci.

On Tuesday (Manila time), Olivia Rodrigo released her 4th music video “Brutal” on her official Youtube channel. The song is the introductory track from her debut album “SOUR.”

Her music video takes its inspiration from the ‘90s and early 2000s pop culture. The opening scene features ballerinas dancing around the pop star and posing against an animated cityscape backdrop.

When the song’s beat kicks in, the singer’s ankle snaps, and she falls to the floor and ended up in a dance studio. In a Tweet, the Fil-Am singer said he had fun filming the ‘Brutal’ music video directed by Petra Collins.

Had so much fun making this with my genius friend Petra Collins and I’m so stoked it’s out in the world,” she wrote.

Olivia Rodrigo’s “SOUR” album caught the attention of many music lovers because it is filled with angst and heartbreak. She has repeatedly cited Taylor Swift as her idol. The American superstar has 2 songwriting credits on “SOUR” (“Déjà Vu” and “1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back”)

On Monday (Manila time), Taylor joined the social media app TikTok and promote her upcoming ‘Red (Taylor’s Version) album.
