Taylor Swift Joins TikTok W/ Video Promoting Re-release of Album ‘Red’
TAYLOR SWIFT – American superstar Taylor Swift surprised her fans as she joined the famous video sharing app TikTok and uploaded her first video promoting her album ‘Red (Taylor’s version)’.
Several celebrities have turned to the social media app TikTok to connect with their fans amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Some of them used the platform to share their dance, song imitations, dialogue reenactments, and lip-syncing videos.
After gaining 500 million active users, the said app became an integral part of the music marketing landscape. Several musicians have used TikTok to promote their music.
Recently, American superstar Taylor Swift joined the famous video sharing app to promote her album. She uploaded her first TikTok video on Monday, Aug. 23 (Manila Time).
The post of the “Cardigan” singer includes 4 videos snippets of her rapping to British rapper Dave’s “Screwface Capital.” She also transformed herself with different looks representing her albums ‘Folklore,’ ‘Evermore,’ ‘Fearless,’ and ‘Red.’

Taylor Swift used the TikTok app to remind everyone that the vinyl edition of her ‘Red (Taylor’s Version) is now available for pre-sale. She’s set to release the re-recording of her album in November 2021.
“Lots going on at the moment: Red (my version) vinyl is up for presale on my site and oh I’m on tiktok now let the games begin #SwiftTok,” she wrote.

Taylor Swift has gained 1.3 million followers on TikTok as of this writing. Her fellow singer Charlie Puth commented on her video. He said, “Welcome to Tok fellow Sag.”
The female singer replied, “I’ve lurked your account for ages! Thanks for the welcome, piano prince.”
