Piolo Pascual talked about ‘My Amanda’ with Alessandra de Rossi
Actor Piolo Pascual revealed that his co-star/director in the Netflix movie My Amanda, Alessandra de Rossi hates love teams.
In the Philippine entertainment industry, a love team is a common thing. Unlike in showbiz industries in other countries, people in Pinoy showbiz tend to create a tandem, and most of the projects they do require them to be together.
With this, there is a certain exclusivity between the love team partners. Although Piolo and Alessandra, in their new movie, cannot be technically called a love team, their tandem is well-loved by many.
In a recent episode of Philstar’s Lifestyle & Entertainment show Slam Book, Piolo Pascual and Alessandra de Rossi said that they don’t want to be called a love team. They quipped that they would rather choose to be called “money team”. “Love team? There’s no love. We hate each other,” Alessandra said.
Piolo answered that it is only money and his leading lady added, “The money team.” Then, the actor revealed that the actress hates love teams. He calls her “anti-love team”.
“She’s not the type of person that who comes to that type of casting because we have to come up with a rom-com. And I’m all for that,’” Piolo Pascual said.
Meanwhile, in a previous interview, the actor revealed that as a director, aside from being the scriptwriter and the lead actress of My Amanda, Alessandra has always been gentle to her co-workers on the set because she does not want to offend anyone.
In a previous interview, Alessandra also shared why she chose Piolo to play the lead role in the story that she wrote. When asked why she preferred Piolo over John Lloyd Cruz, she said that it is because the former is funny and even funnier than Empoy Marquez who was her leading man in Kita Kita.
