Alessandra de Rossi said this about her ‘My Amanda’ leading man
Actress Alessandra de Rossi revealed why she chose Piolo Pascual to be her leading man in her directorial debut My Amanda, which she also wrote, and not John Lloyd Cruz.
Alex and Piolo’s new movie on Netflix has been teased since 2019. Fortunately, this film that had a working title Fuffy and Fream will finally start streaming on July 15.
During a recent interview, Piolo teased his leading lady on why she did not choose his friend John Lloyd Cruz, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
Alessandra de Rossi quipped that her choice was based on the sense of humor of Piolo Pascual. “’Yung pagka-komedyante mo kasi in real life,” the award-winning actress said.
“Si Papa P is funnier than Empoy, sorry! Hahaha!” Alex added. She and Empoy Marquez worked together in the movie Kita Kita under Piolo’s Spring Films.
Previously, the actress mentioned that My Amanda is her gift for Piolo and his production company for the success of her movie with Empoy. “This movie is about friendship, and how much I treasure connections that are sincere, overwhelming, and that have a very profound impact, at least for me,” she shared.
“Empoy crazy, Piolo crazier, pa’no ba ‘yan?” Alessandra enthused. The A-list actor shared that his character in the upcoming movie is not far from his personality in real life. However, the only difference is just the long hair and body piercings.
For Alessandra, Piolo is much hotter when he has long hair. “I like the dirty Papa P!” the actress and now director said. She even joked that “Dirty Papa P” could be a name for a liquor brand.
