Derek Ramsay ends his friendship with John Estrada
Kapuso actor Derek Ramsay said that he is no longer friends with John En Ellen lead actor John Estrada after the issues surfaced involving his fiancée Ellen Adarna.
John and Derek have been friends for several years now. They are known to be golf buddies and they even became business partners. John was instrumental in why Derek and Ellen met.
However, that years of friendship have ended as Derek decided to cut ties with John. This came after the issue on the set of the TV5 sitcom featuring the tandem of John and Ellen.
Ellen clarified her side of the story regarding the rumors that she walked out of the set and her alleged attitude problem. Based on the previous article, the actress is planning to file a complaint against the show due to an alleged protocol violation.
In a recent Showbiz Update vlog of comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz, Derek Ramsay expressed that he is no longer friends with John Estrada.
Ogie asked the actor if he and John are “magkaaway”. “Hindi ko siya kaaway. Hindi ko siya kaibigan. He’s no longer a friend of mine. I just don’t want to associate myself with John,” the Kapuso actor said.
He admitted that what happened to Ellen on the sitcom set is the “icing on the cake.” “Yun ang nag-push sa akin na enough is enough,” Derek said. The actor added there are so many things that happened to his fiancée during the lock-in taping. The Kapuso actor has already talked about this with John and the latter was apologetic. However, Derek can no longer accept certain things.
Derek also stressed that the production staff agreed to the 12 noon cut-off for Ellen on June 25 in exchange for the extended hour on June 24, beyond the 12-hour rule. The actor said that it is also not true that Ellen has no “pakisama”.
“People should understand that we are in a pandemic.And you should also respect her wishes na pagkatapos ng eksena, rather than makipagtsikahan sa set, she wants to be safe and stay in her room. She doesn’t want to get sick kasi babalikan niya ang anak niya, babalikan niya ako, at babalikan niya ang magulang ko,” Derek Ramsay stressed about the protocol.
The actor also stressed that his fiancée is not a “pasaway” and that she does not want to work. Derek revealed that Ellen agreed to do Season 2 of the sitcom even though there was no written contract because the contract she signed was for just one season only.
