A few hours after criticizing Ellen Adarna, Long Mejia issued an apology
Veteran comedian Long Mejia retracted his statement against John en Ellen lead actress Ellen Adarna after he called her “unprofessional”.
Long said fierce words against Ellen who was accused of leaving the set of the TV5 sitcom in the middle of their shoot. He also said that this act of the actress was “pambabastos”.
The comedian stressed that for what Ellen did during the last day of their lock-in taping, she should apologize. In a recent Instagram post, the actress broke her silence and clarified her side. She said that she even stayed an hour later than the promised time cutoff.
Ellen said that she knows her right and that there are certain protocols that need to be followed amid the pandemic. Following this statement from Ellen Adarna, Long Mejia was the one who issued an apology. Talking to PEP, the veteran comedian says sorry to the actress for not understanding the whole situation because he was not told about it.
“Ellen… Ako ay tiklop-tuhod na humihingi sa iyo ng pasensya. Pasensya ka na. Huwag ka magagalit sa akin. Medyo hindi ko alam kung ano ang mga pangyayari.” Long said. He also explained that what he said against Ellen was due to the fact that he loves their sitcom. Long stressed that he did not mean anything bad when he called out the actress for her alleged walkout.
The comedian repeatedly said sorry to the actress. “Kaya kay Ellen Adarna, kaibigan naman kita Ellen, sabi ko nga. Pasensya ka na rin dahil nung araw nga na iyon na sinabing ikaw ay aalis na, e nalungkot din ako. Biruin mo, di na tayo magkikita,” Long explained.
Long Mejia also apologized to Derek Ramsay, Ellen’s fiancé who was with her during the lock-in taping. The comedian said in his previous statement that Derek should have made his fiancée understand the value of professionalism and hindered her to leave the set.
Long also called Derek as Ellen’s PA or personal assistant as the hunk actor also stayed in his fiancee’s room. “Kay Pareng Derek, yung mga biro ko sa iyo na, ‘Si Derek parang P.A. ni Ellen,’ biro yun. Binibiro lang kita,” the comedian said.
He also stressed this, “Derek, magkaibigan tayo. Magkaibigan tayo, Derek. Pasensya ka na. Wala akong ibig sabihin. Wala akong ibig sabihin na masama. Basta ang hangad ko, kayong dalawa ay maging ayos.“
