Man Arrested for Pretending to be a Registered Dentist in La Union
Police authorities arrested a man who was allegedly pretending to be a registered dentist while he was about to extract a tooth from a client.
A dental technician was arrested in an entrapment operation after pretending to be a registered dentist in Barangay Quinavite, Bauang, La Union. The Bauang Police Station (BPS) identified the suspect as Marck Alexander R. Amada, 43.
According to the report of BPS, the entrapment operation took place right inside the suspect’s house where his clinic is located. This is related to the complaint of the Philippine Dental Association-La Union (PDA-LU) led by Dr. Lana Mechele S. Galvez of BPS.
According to Galvez, Amada is said to be pretending as a dentist and operate without license and permit. Amada was arrested while trying to extract a tooth from a police asset.
Meanwhile, after posing as a dentist and luring his clients to cheaper dentures and retainers, a 21-year-old dental technician in Ramon, Isabela province, was cornered in an entrapment operation. After receiving marked money from the undercover agent who ordered her to construct a tooth retainer, the suspect was detained.
After members of the Philippine Dental Association Isabela – Kalinga Chapter protested about Soriano’s unlawful actions, the authorities initiated the entrapment operation. The woman who was detained accepts her mistake and asks for a second opportunity because her two girls are still young and have no one to look after them.
