Lolit Solis reveals the status of the sitcom of John Lloyd Cruz with the GMA network.
JOHN LLOYD CRUZ – Veteran showbiz reporter Lolit Solis has some revelations about the sitcom John Lloyd Cruz will be doing with the Kapuso network.
After many years of being on hiatus, A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz returns to showbiz through GMA with the help of Kapuso host Willie Revillame. The male host was the one who shared that the reason why he left before is that he got burnt out of the cycle of his life. His passion, which is acting, became a routine that he never got the time anymore to do the things that he wants.
He had his son with actress Ellen Adarna while he was still on leave and they named their little boy Elias Modesto. In some interviews, the actor shared that his life now is something he owes from his son. Elias is now his purpose in life and having Elias in life gave him the reason to work harder.
The actor is now under Maja Salvador’s management company – the Crown Artist Management. He appeared in Revillame’s 6-6 Shopee Super Mega Fiesta Special last June 6, 2021, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum as a special guest. And at that moment, Revillame revealed that he will be producing a sitcom with the actor but in a previous article, it was reported that he backed out from doing this project.
This report has popped the bubble of hope of some of the actor’s supporters. Will the project be still pushed through? As per the rumors, the reason behind this is: “May nakita daw si Willie, at tsaka ‘yung mga ibang bossing ng network na hindi kaaya-ayang ginawa ni ano, ni John Lloyd.”
But despite these allegations, it seems like the project is still going to happen as per the veteran columnist Lolit Solis. In her latest post, she revealed that a staff of Direk Bubot Mortiz has already reached out to Benjie Paras and Sandy Andolong for the budget hearing of this project.
She added, “Baka nag out sa project si Willie Revillame, pero itinuloy ni direk Bubot Mortiz ang project, at mukha naman Ok sa GMA7.”
On the other hand, there were rumors that he will be working with Andrea Torres but the actress revealed that she was still not formally informed about this yet. However, she is excited about the possibility of this.
