This is what Johnny Manahan aims to do now that he is with the GMA network.
JOHNNY MANAHAN – A pillar in the industry known as Mr. M or Mr. Jonny Manahan is now in GMA and this is his mission now that he’s Kapuso.
In a previous article, star builder Johnny Manahan admitted that he received an offer that he couldn’t refuse. He is now the consultant of the GMA Artist Center and he never even thought he would be given another shot after the ABS-CBN network was denied to have a new franchise. He liked what was offered to him and he’s happy with the offer that’s why he never hesitated to accept it.
He expressed that he is considering himself a showbiz gypsy where he goes to where there is work and where he is respected. To recall, he is ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic head for many years and his expertise has produced some of the biggest stars that we all look up to now and he is set to the same with GMA.
As he signed his contract, he expressed that his main aim is to “develop a new breed of GMA artists”. He hopes to develop something in them and sees that in six or seven months, they will be able to produce stars who will shine brighter. He will exclusively be a consultant and he won’t do any directing.
He said based on a GMA report, “Maybe in six or seven months meron na kaming bagong mga artista sa GMA, and to the other artists who have been there a long time, I think I can learn from them, and I hope they can learn from us, also.”
Over five decades ago, he’s actually with GMA and worked in the children’s show Uncle Bob’s Lucky 7 Club. When he left Star Magic, he was replaced by Director Laurenti Dyogi as the head.
