Jaya emotionally bid goodbye to her ‘It’s Showtime’ family
Soul Diva Jaya got emotional when she bid goodbye to her family in It’s Showtime after she and her family decided to stay in the United States.
Last March, the singer revealed in an interview that her family is set to settle in the U.S. for the meantime. Her husband and their son went there first and were able to find a home immediately.
Amid the shutting down of ABS-CBNN due to the franchise renewal issue and the limited opportunities due to the pandemic prompted her to have this decision.
Just recently, Jaya had to finally say farewell to the Kapamilya noontime show where she is a regular judge for its segment Tawag ng Tanghalan. The Soul Diva was emotional when she thanked her It’s Showtime family for accepting her when she transferred to ABS-CBN from GMA.
“Nung lumipat ako sa ABS-CBN, kayo ‘yung tumanggap sa akin eh. So, for me, I’m going to leave with a heavy heart; but I am happy because I have the honor, the privilege to work with very excellent hosts,” she said.
The singer also expressed gratitude to the Kapamilya network. “You’ve helped so many people, not only the public, even me, isang singer na katulad ko—namayagpayag nang sandali dahil sa pagtanggap ninyo,” Jaya said.
Her words for her home network now and her fellow Kapamilya stars garnered admiration from many netizens. However, this did not sit well with the fans of the Kapuso network where she came from. Here are some of the negative comments against the Soul Diva that were posted on the Instagram post of Kapamilya Online World.
