State Media Says North Koreans Heartbroken At Leader’s Weight Loss
NORTH KOREANS HEARTBROKEN – According to North Korea’s state media, every single resident of the country was left heartbroken due to Kim Jong Un’s noticeable weight loss.
This rare public comment regarding the North Korean leader’s health follows foreign analysts citing that he’d lost weight. As such, KRT, North Korea’s state media, quoted an unidentified man who said:
Seeing respected general secretary (Kim Jong Un) looking emaciated breaks our people’s heart so much…
Everyone is saying that their tears welled up
Meanwhile, according to an article from Reuters, residents of Pyongyang watched a giant screen on the street which showed a concert attended by North Korea’s leader. However, the program failed to disclose details of the Kim Jong Un’s weight loss.
Analysts at NK News, a Seoul-based website that monitors North Korea, remarked that Kim’s watch looked to be wound more tightly than before on a seemingly smaller wrist when he returned in official media in June after almost a month of not being seen in public.
Due to this seemingly drastic appearance, foreign analysts closely watch his health as he has sole control of North Korea’s power. Furthermore, there are still uncertainties for plans as to who his successor would be.
