PAGASA: Luzon to Experience Monsoon Rains, Fair Weather Expected Over Rest of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (June 25)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Luzon would experience monsoon rains and fair weather is expected over the rest of the country.

On Friday (June 25, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The southwest monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The localized thunderstorms would bring similar weather condition over entire Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands. Rain showers are also expected over Batanes and Babuyan Island.

Generally fair weather is expected over Visayas and Mindanao with possibility of isolated rain showers also due to localized thunderstorms.

The weather agency is also monitoring a Severe Tropical Storm Champi outside the Philippine area of responsibility with maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 115 kph.

The coastal water conditions over the entire Philippines would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
