Message of Pres. Duterte for Filipinos Who Don’t Want To Be Vaccinated Vs. COVID-19
DUTERTE – Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte gave a warning for the Filipinos who refuse to receive COVID-19 amid the pandemic.
The Philippine government is currently in the pursuit for a population protection by vaccinating the citizens against COVID-19. There is a vaccination ladder being observed in the rolling out of the vaccines.
There are different brands of COVID-19 vaccines – Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, Pfizer, and Sinovac among others. The Philippines has received some of these vaccine brands.
In the vaccination process, the healthcare workers are the top priority. A huge part of the doctors, nurses, and medical frontliners have already been vaccinated against coronavirus. Many are already fully-vaccinated.

The vaccination of the senior citizens and those who have co-morbidities have also began. Previously, the national government encouraged the senior citizens to be vaccinated as only a few came to the facilities or reached out to the health authorities to be vaccinated.
This month, the national government targeted the major vaccination of the essential workers and the poor Filipinos. However, undeniably, there are still a lot of people who are hesitant in getting their jabs.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte recently gave a warning to Filipinos who do not want to be vaccinated against COVID-19. He issued a warning that he will have them arrested as the country is facing a crisis.
“Don’t get me wrong. There is a crisis being faced in this country. There is a national emergency. Kung ayaw mong magpabakuna, ipaaresto kita,” the Chief Executive said.
Furthermore, based on the report, Pres. Duterte told those Filipinos who do not want to receive the COVID-19 vaccine to leave the country and go to India or the United States. These two (2) nations were hit hard by coronavirus. According to him, he will order the barangay captains to have a tally of the people who refuse to be vaccinated.
The President is encouraging everyone to be vaccinated as anyone can carry the virus. He issued options to the people to get vaccinated or be arrested.
