Video of Vendor Putting Back Food That Fell on Muddy Ground Elicits Reactions Online

A male vendor has been caught on camera putting back the food that fell on the ground but the ‘karinderya’ owner did not give a statement.

The video footage of an ambulant vendor returning the food he is cooking after it fell on the ground. The disturbing video immediately spread like a wildfire online and causes fear among the public.

The ingredients slipped and fell on the wet and muddy part of the ground. The guy just washed the food and cooked it in oil believing that the germs would be killed on heat. The man explained that it tastes fine.

“Dumulas po. Papakuluan ko pa lang po tapos dumulas. Hinugasan naman po at tsaka prinito ko naman sa mantika,” the vendor said.

Eventually, the ambulant vendor removed the contaminated dish from display. The public also raised their concern due to the incident and some residents who just finished receiving the COVID-19 vaccines have been spotted eating at the said karinderya.

A lot of people find the cook’s act unacceptable but he does not deserve to be dismissed from the job but he needs to handle the food properly for the safety of consumers.

Previously, the American society for microbiology belied the 5-second rule wherein people believe that food that fell on the ground is still safe for consumption if you will pick it up within five seconds.
