Ogie Diaz has spoken about Liza Soberano’s dubbing in ‘Trese‘
Liza Soberano’s manager Ogie Diaz clapped back at the bashers of the actress due to her dubbing for Netflix’s anime series Trese.
The announcement saying that Liza will be the voice of Alexandra Trese created a loud buzz in showbiz and on social media. Her counterpart for the English version is actress Shay Mitchell who is a half-Filipina.
Many fans of Liza got excited about this dubbing stint, however, when the popular streaming company finally released the series, many netizens also expressed disappointment.
They criticized the way Liza Soberano did the dubbing for the lead character. In line with the bashing that the actress has received, her talent manager had this reaction.
In the recent Showbiz Update vlog of Ogie Diaz, he said that people have their own opinion. If there were those who did not like how Liza spoke Tagalog, there were also those who expressed love and support for the actress, the talent manager stressed.
Ogie also shared that the people in Netflix Philippines are very warm towards Liza and that they love the output of this project.
When Mama Loi said that there were those who said that other celebrities have better voice than Liza, Ogie answered, “Oh, pwede naman si Regine Velasqauez doon eh, kaya lang hindi naman inalok si Regine, so paano?”
The talent manager added that it can be offered to other artists and they will accept it, it just so happened that this project was offered to Liza.
“Nabasa ko lang, marami pa raw deserving kesa kay Liza, ang problema kasi, hindi kayo taga-Netflix. Sana taga-Netflix kayo para kayo nag-decide!” Ogie Diaz said.
He also shared that Liza Soberano did not auditioned for this project, she was handpicked by Netflix and she was the number one choice.
