Here’s what Dingdong Dantes said about his rumored political plan
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes has broken his silence on rumors saying that he will run for Senator in the 2022 elections.
As the election season is just around the corner, names in the political arena have been making headlines. Even those who are in the entertainment industry are being entangled in talks about politics.
Just recently, rumors surfaced that there are certain groups that are encouraging Dingdong to run for Senator next year. It was also rumored that his wife Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera opposes this idea.
In a recent press conference for his Kapuso show Amazing Earth, Dingdong Dantes was asked about the said rumor. He directly denied that he has plan of running next election, based on the article by Pang-Masa’s entertainment columnist Nitz Miralles.

“Wala po akong plano sa 2022,” the actor said. He also denied that there are people who are convincing him to run. When asked if what are the conversations he had with his wife regarding this matter, the actor has this answer, “hindi namin napag-usapan dahil wala naman akong plano talaga.”
Instead, Dingdong Dantes mentioned the future projects he has for his showbiz career and there was no room for politics. He also shared that they are preparing for the lock-in taping again for an episode of I Can See You aside from the episodes of Amazing Earth every Sunday.
His show will have a three-part anniversary special that will feature local environmental heroes.
