Kapuso actress Winwyn Marquez has this reaction to a netizen who asked if she will join Miss Universe Philippines 2021.

The pageant season continues for the national level as three of the major pageant organizations in the Philippines have announced the upcoming searches.

In line with this, Winwyn shared a throwback video that was taken when she joined and won in the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 competition. It was the first time for the Philippines to send a delegate to the said international beauty pageant and the Kapuso star gave that honor for the country.

She joined the Miss World Philippines pageant in the same year and got the chance to represent the country in Bolivia. Her fans recalled the amazing performance that she had during the pageant and many of them have been tagging her name on the video showcasing her walk during the swimsuit competition.

“People have been tagging me non stop sa video na to’ so might as well post it on my feed. Oh how time flies. Thank you sa nag video,” Winwyn Marquez wrote in the caption of her post.

Many netizens who commented on this throwback video of the Kapuso star said that she is indeed a “Latina slayer”. Some recalled that she really did well during the pageant that made her fellow Filipinos proud.

One netizen asked her if she can still join Miss Universe. Just recently, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization has announced that the application is now open for aspiring candidates this year.

However, the answer of Winwyn Marquez to the netizen’s question was, “no na”. It is probably because her age now exceeded the age requirement. The actress is now 29 years old but MUP requires the candidates to be 28 years old during the international pageant.
