Is there a conflict between Karen Davila and Korina Sanchez?
ANC’s Headstart host Karen Davila has this answer when asked if she and Rated Korina host Korina Sanchez are “magkagalit”.
Karen and Korina are two of the prominent female personalities when it comes to the broadcasting industry in the Philippines. They have proven their caliber when it comes to news and current affairs over the years.
Because of their excellence when it comes to their work, it is inevitable for people to compare them. During a recent interview on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel, Karen Davila was asked if there is conflict between her and Korina Sanchez.
The Headstart host started answering this by saying that just recently, she and Korina met at a party of Anton San Diego who posted a video. In the video, both female journalist were seen playing a party game.
Karen said that many people were happy about this because they are frequently seen together. Then, Karen stressed that when she entered the world of broadcasting in ABS-CBN, Korina is already Korina. That means that the latter has already established her name in the industry and that she was already a well-respected news personality.
“Lumipat ako sa ABS-CBN in 2001, Korina Sanchez na po siya. Sikat na sikat na po siya. In other words, kailanman ay hindi po kami nagpantay,” she said.
Karen also said that she is never a competitor of Korina or the next Korina for that matter. “The person I can be is to be Karen,” she added.
She also said that the speculation about the alleged conflict between her and Korina just came out because people are trying to create a competition between them.
Karen Davila also clarified that there were times in the past that she and Korina Sanchez would greet each other but there was never chance that they had time to really spend time with each other.
