What are the latest updates in Miss Universe 2021?
Reports surfaced that the Miss Universe 2021 is set to be held in December this year and here are some of the things stated in circulating bulletins about the pageant.
A bulletin circulating that was reportedly from Miss Laos national director with this statement: “MUO (Miss Universe Organization) requires all countries to hold a contest or appoint a representative for the 70th Miss Universe by August 2021.”
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, it appeared the Miss Universe Thailand has responded to this by appointing their country’s new representative Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen for the next edition of the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world.
Another bulletin has circulated that the 70th Miss Universe will be hosted by Steve Harvey and Nathalia Carvajal. It was also stated that Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray will be the anchors/commentators.
Furthermore, speculations surfaced that the MUO is already negotiating with Costa Rica’s minister of tourism Gustavo Segura to be the host country this year.
In the 69th edition of Miss Universe, Miss Mexico Andrea Meza was crowned. If the pageant for the 70th edition will be held before 2021 ends, then she will be the Miss Universe who will have the shortest reign.
Meanwhile, Miss World 2013 Megan Lynn Young-Daez is also being speculated to be the host of the 70th edition of Miss World that is set to be held at the Coca-Cola Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico. If the rumors are true, then, it will be the 7th year of Megan’s hosting stint for the pageant.
