PIA WURTZBACH – Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach reaction to alleged “cooking” in recent Miss Universe pageant.

Filipina beauty queen Rabiya Mateo only reached the final 21 candidates of the Miss Universe 2020 pageant to the dismay of the many people. And now, in a podcast, crowned Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach spoke about her loss. She believed that Rabiya did her best and thankful that she was able to represent the country flawlessly. However, with all the objections over the result, she said to people that they must accept the results.

She also admitted to not wanting how people went into details of the competition and seemingly looking for a loophole just because the result for them is not acceptable. She said, “Wag nating i-doubt yung organization. Kasi wala nang manonood ng Miss Universe kung luto to. Yun talaga yung napili ng judges, siya talaga yung nanalo, it’s her destiny. Let’s be sports.”

Wurtzbach also described that this edition was a bit way more toxic for no particular reason. She felt that this year’s pageant was more intense compared to the previous ones. She shared that the organization gathered these women for unity and acceptance of each other regardless of race and among other factors. It’s just so sad for her to see that it was the fans who were divided critically and pulling the other candidates down while lifting their bets up.

What she wanted for the people to realize is to accept defeat.
