American model-TV personality Tyra Banks reacted to the 11-year consecutive streak of the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant as what Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray tweeted.
After the 69th Miss Universe pageant, Catriona shared this tweet about the performance of Filipina beauty queen for eleven years on the international pageant stage.
The streak started with Venus Raj when she hailed as Miss Universe 2010 4th runner. Then, it was continued by Shamcey Supsup (2011, 3rd runner-up), Janine Tugonon (2012, 1st runner-up), Ariella Arida (2013, 3rd runner-up), and Mary Jean Lastimosa (2014, Top 10).
In 2015, Pia Wurtzbach won the 3rd Miss Universe crown for the Philippines. A year after that, Maxine Medine entered the Top 6. Then, Rachel Peters was able to make it to the Top 10 in 2017.
Catriona Gray won the 4th Miss Universe crown in 2018 and in 2019, Gazini Ganados made it to the Top 21. For the 69th Miss Universe, Rabiya Mateo entered the Top 21.
With this, Catriona was proud to say that the Filipina beauty queens did great in the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world.
“Woooow this year is intense!! (astonished face emoji) Sending Rabiya all of our love! She made our country proud! (yellow heart emoji) 11 Year consecutive semi-streak Pilipinassss,” Catriona tweeted after Rabiya did not make it to the Top 10.
This tweet from the 4th Pinay Miss Universe received a reaction from Tyra Banks. “Pretty Pinoy Power Forever!” the famous personality wrote. Several Pinoy pageant fans gush over this tweet from Tyra.
