RABIYA MATEO – Philippines’ bet Rabiya Mateo in Miss Universe impressively and gracefully handled questions during a press conference.
Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo is making heads turn as she gracefully answered the questions thrown at her during the individual interviews of the candidates by FYI Network/Telemundo on May 13. This is in line with the upcoming 69th edition of the Miss Universe pageant.

This year’s global pageant will be held in Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida on May 16. This time is the morning of May 17 in the Philippines and below are the platforms and channels in free TV and cable TV where you can watch the coronation night live:
- ABS-CBN via the A2Z channel
- Sunday’s Best on Kapamilya Channel on May 23 at 9:45 p.m., with live streaming for viewers in the Philippines on iWantTFC
- Metro Channel on May 24 at noon and 10 p.m.; May 26 at 5 p.m., and May 29 at 8:30 a.m.
And just recently, in an individual interview of Rabiya with FYI Network/Telemundo on May 13, she did nothing but made a lot of Filipinos proud of her with the way on how she handled and answered the questions gracefully. She showed no hint of any anxiousness and remained confident all throughout the interview.
In the interview, Rabiya spoke about the appreciation of Pinoys to beauty and the added pressure to her being someone who is from a country that loves beauty pageants so much. She also opened up about her journey and for having to be accused of cheating just so she can get the crown and represent the country in the international stage.
And regardless of winning the competition or not, Rabiya shared that the greatest takeaway from it would be her growth and development. She said, “It’s the growth and the development that I was able to have during preparing for this journey.”
She added a confession where she found herself so down after many doubts thrown at her but bouncing back stronger is something she can definitely not just in the pageant but also in life as well.
