Truck Accidentally Hits Cash Aid Beneficiaries Queuing for “Ayuda”

A rushing truck hits the people queueing for “ayuda” in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan after the driver suffered heart attack.

On Tuesday (May 11, 2021), the 57-year-old truck driver identified as Herminio Gerona suffered a heart attack while driving along the road. The truck accidentally hits the cash aid beneficiaries’ queueing at City Hall of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan due to the incident.

San Jose del Monte police Maj. Julius Alvarong reported that Gerona fetched an employee at the city hall when he suffered heart attack. The driver has been rushed to the hospital but eventually passed away.

Meanwhile, the cash aid beneficiaries suffered wounds and injuries due to the unexpected incident. The victims have been also rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment and medication.

The video also shows the chaotic scenery after the accident in front of the San Jose del Monte’s city hall. The chairs were scattered and some beneficiaries were severely injured.

Initially, the people around the area can be heard blaming the truck driver for being irresponsible along the road without knowing the driver’s condition.
