Man Get Hit by Speeding SUV After He Walks on the Road Due to Obstruction
A man who was walking along the road in Manila due to an obstructed sidewalk was hit by a speeding SUV over the weekend.
A 29-year-old man flew after he was hit by a speeding SUV in Manila. The victim, almost in the middle of the road walking because there were obstructed trikes on the sidewalk and side of the road.
According to the report of GMA News on Wednesday, a CCTV showed Romer Villas and a companion walking on the road on Onyx Street in Barangay 775. Because of the tricycles parked blocking the sidewalk, the two were seen walking almost in the middle of the road.

A speeding SUV suddenly hit Villas that lead him to crouched down as he flew meters away, and his body even hit a parked tricycle. The victim was lucky to survive but needed surgery.
Barangay 775 chairman Allan Pacheco, the victim’s uncle said “Sa ngayon po, nakakausap na siya. ‘Yun nga lang po, siyempre inoobserbahan po siya dahil ang tama po ay sa atay yata ‘yun kasi mukhang ‘yun na ata ang ooperahan, saka sa ulo.”
Despite the incident, roadblocks on Onyx Street, including vehicles and vendors, remained intact. He also said that the captain’s staff is not enough to conduct road clearing operations.
“E nakita niyo naman po sa TV, talagang nakikipag-away pa ‘yung mga kini-clear natin. Kung sa kanila nga po nakikipag-away, lalo na po kami dito sa barangay,” he said.
“Pag inano po namin, sabihin nila, e ano naman po ang ibibigay niyo sa amin lalo’t yun lang din ang hanapbuhay nila? Junk shop nga po saka tricycle driver ‘yung mga trabaho dito,” Pacheco explained.
