“The Broken Marriage Vow” casting has been announced and Jodi Sta. aria will be playing the lead role.

The empowered, brilliant, subdued, and sophisticated character of Dr. Gemma Foster of BBC Studios hit psychological dramaĀ Doctor Foster or Dr. JiĀ Sun-wooĀ of South Koreaās record-breaking remake entitled āThe World of a Married Coupleā is Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta. Maria in the Philippines. Her character is Jill Ilustre and will play the role of a wife cheated on by her husband.
Portraying the husband role isĀ Zanjoe Marudo as David Ilustre while the mistress role was given to Sue Ramirez as Lexy Lucero and the son is Zaijian Jaranilla who will be called Gio Ilustre.
As much as we all know, the Korean remake is the highest-rated cable TV drama and also earned a massive following in the Philippines. The ABS-CBN network also aired the series locally and this time, the country will also have its own adaptation where the director to helm this is Connie Macatuno where the PH’s title would be āThe Broken Marriage Vow.ā
In ABS-CBN news, the actress expressed that the “pressure is real” as she is bound to play this iconic role and was still in disbelief when this was offered to her. It was a surreal moment for her. As for Ramirez who will portray the mistress role, she ābroke down cryingāĀ after being told that she’s one of the main casts in the adaptation.
The young actress shared, āItās a big, big project. When they told me, I broke down crying, because I really couldnāt believe na ako āyung napili nila for this role!ā
