Here’s what Gloria Diaz said about her daughters Isabelle and Ava
Veteran actress Gloria Diaz was asked if she had “mommy issues” with her daughters Ava and Isabelle Daza and here what she said about them.
In a recent interview for her new film Mother’s Day film Mommy Issues with Pokwang and Sue Ramirez, Gloria was asked if she had problems with her kids, based on the article in the Philstar. A scene in the movie showed that Gloria’s character, along with her granddaughter played by Sue, intervened in the love life of her daughter played by Pokwang.
Gloria said in real life, she has not done this. She did not intervene with the relationships of her daughter to their respective partners because of this reason.
“Di pa ako sumugod either with Belle and Ava because their choices are good,” the veteran actress shared. Both of her daughters are now married. Isabelle recently welcomed her second baby with her husband French sportswear executive Adrien Semblat. Ava got married early last year to longtime beau Luch Zanirato.
Gloria Diaz recalled that the only problem she had with Ava before was she was coming home late. The Miss Universe 1969 said that when it comes to Belle, this was not a problem.
“Si Belle, wala eh, alas 9 pa lang dito na sa bahay, tulog na. Si Ava mahilig lumabas noon, pero nasusundo ko naman siya,” she shared. When it comes to her son Rafael, the veteran actress said that it was quite normal that she would find him in his friends’ house.
However, for her, she has not major “mommy issues” with her children. “They never answer back. I don’t think I ever had anything physically disgusting or ano, OK naman sila,” Gloria said.
She also stressed the importance that parents should always make their children feel secure and loved. “I will give my advice to my children, which is to always make their child feel very, very secure, that you’re behind them, that you’re not going to overpower them and that you trust their judgment,” Gloria Diaz stressed.
