Teacher Got Disrespect by Student Allegedly Disturbed Playing During Class
STUDENT DISRESPECT TEACHER – A student humiliated his teacher after he was allegedly disturbed on playing an online game amid online class.
Owing to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, which has affected millions of people in different countries around the world, the Department of Education has moved from conventional learning to online learning. However, the new learning curriculum is causing problems for a number of students and teachers.
The majority of people are still adapting to their new standard in order to prevent the coronavirus disease from spreading further across the world. Despite the efforts of teachers to provide adequate education, some disrespectful students are not giving value to their studies and prefer to play online games instead of participating.
An instructor expresses her displeasure to her student on Facebook after she was embarrassed during an online lecture. She claims she was insulted by one of her students because he didn’t want to be interrupted when online gaming.
The instructor, Ellen Faith Ganela, said she posted a conversation between their group chat and her student’s chat because she was astounded by her student’s response. The student complains in her post about getting several notifications in their group chat, which interrupts his gaming session.
The teacher confronted the disrespectful student. “Maam akon problema, hala kamo ka reply sa gc nga ga ML (Mobile Legends) ko, respitar man b pwede?” (Maam, my issue is that you keep replying to group chat while I’m playing ML. Please respect this.)
Ganela said she was sending their class’s activities, announcements, and instructions. She asked netizens to stop harassing her student in an exclusive interview with Radyo Bandera Iloilo, saying she had already spoken to his parents and school officials.
The adviser, the student’s parents, and school administrators are all expected to meet to discuss the incident. Meanwhile, the online community has expressed its displeasure with the student’s disrespectful conduct.
