Yam Concepcion shares thoughts on instances in which one should choose between love or career
Init Sa Magdamag star Yam Concepcion shared her opinion on choosing love or career instances that some people had to face.
It is quite a usual thing to her this matter in the entertainment industry, especially when it involves a celebrity with a non-showbiz partner. The world of entertainment industry can be frenzy. Actors and actresses have to deal with roles and characters that are far beyond who they are in reality.
Yam has experienced this in her previous roles and well as the character of Rita that she portrayed in her current series with Gerald Anderson and JM de Guzman.
Having a non-showbiz boyfriend, the actress was asked about his reaction to her unwholesome role in the series. Yam Concepcion said in a previous article that it was her boyfriend who encouraged her to accept the role as it is her first leading role on TV after working for a decade in showbiz.
Based on the article by King Of Talk Boy Abunda in The Philippine Star, the actress has not dealt with the situations or instances that she would choose between love or career.
Although the actress said that this kind of scenario is normal, she stressed that it is not fair. She also believes that her boyfriend will not put her in this kind of situation.
“Knowing Miguel (who currently works in the US), he would never give me that choice. It’s a mature kind of love, it’s a supportive kind of love, kasi sanay tayo na pinapapili — love, career and all. That’s normal (but) totally unfair,” Yam Concepcion said.
The actress added that Miguel is happy that she finally landed on the lead star role in a series.
