What happened to the case of Claudine Barretto against her estranged husband?
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto filed a case against her estranged husband actor Raymart Santiago and reportedly this was dismissed.
The actress complained that the father of her children, Sabina and Santino, is not giving them financial support.
Reports about the plan of Claudine to take this matter to the court started to circulate in June of 2020. In November, speculation surfaced that Raymart’s girlfriend Jodi Sta. Maria might be getting involved in the legal issue.
To recall, Claudine Barretto slammed the couple for not doing what they supposed to do when they revealed their relationship. The Optimum Star was expecting that Raymart and Jodi would also talk to her children about their relationship like what they did with the latter’s son Thirdy.
Last March, Claudine shared a fiery post mentioning the name of Raymart. She demanded him to “fight fair”.
Based on the article by Nitz Miralles in Pang-Masa, the case that Claudine Barretto filed against Raymart Santiago regarding the failure to provide child support was already dismissed.
The columnist said that they visited the social media accounts of the Optimum Star but she has not given any reaction yet regarding this matter. Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, the lawyer of the actress, has not released a statement also about this, as of the writing. This goes also with Raymart who has not posted anything about the good news for him.
Claudine filed the case against Raymart in Marikina City for allegedly violating the Violence Against Women and Children.
