Family in Iloilo Who Used Fake RT-PCR Test Result Placed Under Strict-Home Quarantine
A family in Cebu has been placed under a strict home quarantine due to a fake RT-PCR test result of their members.
The authorities in Iloilo are now investigating the family of four and their driver after discovering that they have presented a fake RT-PCR test results. The family came from Tabuelan, Cebu before returning to their home in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
The family arrived in Estancia, Iloilo last April 24, 2021 and presented the RT-PCR test to the authorities. The victims explained that someone from Tabuelan Port in Cebu offered a swab test and they immediately grab the offer.
“Ayon sa kanila, doon sa Cebu sa Tabuelan Port, may nag-offer sa kanila na magpa-swab test. Naka-PPE daw umano ang nag-offer. Nagpa-swab silang lahat kasi hindi sila pasasakayin sa barko kung walang swab na may negative result,” Santa Barbara, Iloilo Municipal Administrator Atty. Leo Superio said.
The authorities discovered that the RT-PCR test results are fake last April 26, 2021. The police officials are still investigating the incident for further information.

Meanwhile, due to the counterfeit RT-PCR test results about 122 tourists have been declared as persona non-grata in Boracay. This will serve as warning to the tourists who will violate the health protocols.
