A piece of advice to Rabiya Mateo from a fellow beauty queen
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo received pageant advice from Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner-up Ariella Arida.
Rabiya is representing the country for the 69th edition of the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world. Pre-pageant events are already being held in Florida and the coronation night is set to happen on May 16, 2021.
For the past decades, the Philippines have been doing great in the world of pageantry. In this industry, Pinay beauty queens are always among the top choices of pageant enthusiasts.
For this year’s Miss Universe competition, Pinoy pageant fans are looking forward for Rabiya’s great performance. Aside from this, the beauty queen from Iloilo City also has the support of 100 Pinoy designers when it comes to her wardrobe in the entire duration of the pageant.
Moreover, Rabiya Mateo also received support from her fellow Pinay beauty queens, Miss Universe 1999 1st runner-up Miriam Quiambao shared inspiring words for her, as well as Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
In an article in gmanetwork.com, Ariella Arida also shared a piece of advice for the Miss Universe Philippines. She said that Rabiya should know that she can’t please everybody but she has to know why she is the one representing the Philippines.
“Maniwala ka na nand’yan ka, pinili ka, at nakitaan ka namin na you can carry the flag. Represent the Philippines the best way you can,” the beauty queen-turned-actress said.
Aside from Arieilla, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 fourth runner-up Billie Hackenson also showed support for her pageant batchmate.
“Nakikita ko kapag uuwi na siya, tapos pagod na pagod na siya from training, ‘yung drive niya talaga nandoon. Sobrang motivated siya to bring our fifth crown,” Billie shared adding that she optimistic that Rabiya Mateo will bring home the crown.
