Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo got real in her recent post showcasing her no-makeup look as she said that she is always being compared to different girls.

As a beauty queen, it is but natural for Rabiya’s photos and social media posts to be glamorous. Browsing her Instagram account, her feed would always showcase her OOTDs and her looks in various events and promotional posts.

However, in the recent video that she posted, the beauty queen from Iloilo City flaunted her face with no make-up and without an elaborate hairstyle.

She said that she knows how the industry works. “I live in a cruel industry. I’m always compared to different girls. People have always something to say like, “You’re not beautiful enough. You’re so thin. I don’t like what you wear,Rabiya Mateo said.

For the Ilongga beauty queen these “superficial” things do not matter but the “love we choose to build, the connection we make to people and how we want to celebrate ourselves!”

Behind the negative comments against her, Rabiya exudes confidence in herself. “This is the real me. No make up. No heavy hair extensions. Nothing fancy to wear. Just me. Even in my simplest form, I know in my heart I am nothing less than phenomenal,” she added.

Several beauty queens agreed with what Rabiya Mateo said in the caption of her post. Her fans expressed support for her, especially for the 69th edition of Miss Universe. Many of them said she is a Queen on her own and what other people may say against her does not matter.
