Rabiya Mateo shared her faith along with other beauty queens

Miss Universe-Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo and other prominent names in the field of beauty pageants shared reflect on their faith in line with the world’s celebration of the Lenten Season.

This time of the year is common for many to lie low and just have their reflection when it comes to the spiritual aspect of their lives. In a recent article in The Philippine Star, Rabiya shared the reason why she believes in God.

The beauty queen from Iloilo City stressed that she has experienced a lot of miracles in her life. She believes that a Supreme Entity is always ready to help her during difficult times.

I believe God is real because of all the miracles that happened to me. I remember there were moments I would feel so hopeless and helpless and I would pray for solutions and He would send people who will help me fix my problem. I believe there’s a powerful Creator up there and He listens to us.],” Rabiya Mateo said.

For Miss Universe 2011 3rd Runner-up Shamcey Supsup, every moment of her life proves that there is God. Being an architect herself, she said that that the Almighty is the true architect who created every beautiful thing in nature.

“There is a God because I see His presence every day. From the rising of the sun, through the chirping of the birds and even through the eyes of my children. You know that everything is created by the one and true architect, God. And that He will continue to watch over His creation until the time when we are called to be with Him in heaven,” the Miss Universe Philippines Organization head shared.

Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez appreciates the peace she feels in her heart and she’s thankful that it was brought by God to her. Moreover, there was one instance in her life that she felt even more loved.

“He saved me from a vehicle accident at the gorge on a winding road downhill to St. George, Utah, on Dec. 7, 2013. That was a confirmation of My Savior’s (presence), that Divine Intervention that gave me a second life,” the veteran actress said.

Noble Queen of the Universe 2018 Patricia Javier also said that her everyday life is a simple reminder of her faith. “I believe that there is God because every day that we struggle against the stress and the pain, He is ever present when we ask for help. With the Lord Jesus Christ, we can overcome all obstacles. If we have faith, everything will be fine. Lord, Thy will be done!” she shared.
