Bimby Aquino Opens Up About Estrangement From Father James Yap
BIMBY AQUINO – Kris Aquino’s son Bimby Aquino disclosed his dad, PBA player James Yap never contacted him in years.
Filipina actress, tv host, and entrepreneur Kris Aquino is one of the most in-demand stars in the Philippine entertainment industry. She and basketball player James Yap married in July 2005.
Kris and James welcomed James Carlos Aquino Yap Jr. or better known as “Bimby” on April 19, 2007. After 5 years of marriage, they called it quits and got annulled in 2012.
Bimby Aquino remained with his mom Kris Aquino. Recently, the ‘Queen of all Media’ had an interview with Bimby. He asked Kris about his dad James Yap.
The 14-year-old boy asked the actress what was she thinking when she married Yap. Kris said it was a “leap of faith” for her.

During their interview, Kris Aquino asked Bimby Aquino if he feels resentment that he grew up without his dad by his side. He answered: “No, kasi I have such an awesome Mama.”
The celebrity kid then named the people who have been there for him and shown him kindness. He said these people filled up the void Yap has left.
Kris Aquino asked Bimby Aquino if he has forgiven his dad. He said, “Yeah ‘cause… Sorry sa bluntness po ha, I don’t really care.”
When the prominent actress told him that the people might find his answer “bastos,” he explained, “Hindi siya bastos po. You forget and when you look back at the memories those horrible memories mawawala na ‘yung pain.”
The young boy revealed that his dad has not contacted him in years. He said, “He has his own life, and I have my own life. We are not in contact.” He clarified that his mom does not prevent him from getting in touch with Yap.
