Here’s what James Yap said about the allegation against basketball players
PBA player James Yap reacted to the allegation that basketball players are womanizers during a recent online interview.
James is considered one of the basketball stars of his generation. He exhibited talent on the hard court that led to numerous wins of his team. In the Philippines, basketball is a very popular kind of sport. Its popularity is not just confined within the male populations.
Basketball also have a big portion of female fans and sometimes the players are particularly the apple of the eye. Perhaps, this is the reason why basketball players are being tagged as womanizers.
During a recent episode of Vice Ganda’s digital talk show Gabing Gabi Na Vice, James Yap was the guest and he was asked if it is true that basketball players are womanizers. “Hindi. Hindi totoo yun Vice. Kasi, alam mo, yung mga basketball player, araw-araw, takot nga sa magaganda yun, eh,” the PBA player said.
He explained that it is because almost everyday they are with their teammates for practice and sot they are not accustomed to see beautiful women all the time.
“Kapag nakakita kami ng magaganda, natotorpe kami. Nai-intimidate kami sa mga babae,” he added.
Meanwhile, James Yap is now enjoying his quarantine life with his wife Michela Cazzola. The couple now has two children. The PBA player also shared that he is now learning how to cook and his mother is teaching him.
Aside from this, he has been engaging himself in doing TikTok videos. He said that his fellow basketball players were the ones who convinced him to do this.
James Yap is previously married to actress-host Kris Aquino and they had a son named Bimby.
