Operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) nabbed an airline passenger in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for using someone else’s passport.
An individual was arrested at Terminal 1 by agents from the National Bureau of Investigation-International Airport Investigation Division (NBI-IAID) for using a passport in another person’s name. Bainisin Pulna alias Elsa Cornello Saladili was named as the suspect by NBI Director Eric Distor.

When the suspect was questioned by the duty immigration officer, she was scheduled to fly to Saudi Arabia on a Guld Air flight, according to Distor. This because of the suspect’s contradictory claims, such as the details in her records and her claim that this is her first trip abroad.
According to the BI’s Central Support System, Elsa Cornello Saladili had an earlier departure and arrival, and her passport was not the same as the picture from her previous trip.
The NBI-IAID used this information to apprehend the suspect and take her through the booking process. After being indicted, the defendant is facing charges of violating the Philippine Passport Act of 1996 at the Pasay City Prosecutors Office.
