Former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada Says Former President Erap Back in ICU

FORMER PRESIDENT ERAP – Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada confirmed that his father, former Pres. Joseph Estrada, is now back in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The Philippines is currently faced on a bigger battle against the fast spread of the COVID-19 disease in the country. Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) recorded a spike in the cases which prompted the national government to return the stricter community quarantine measures.

The national government placed the National Capital Region (NCR) under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) measure. The provinces of Rizal, Cavite, Bulacan, and Laguna were also placed under ECQ.

Currently, the NCR Plus is under modified ECQ. Several known personalities have been infected with COVID-19 including former President Joseph Estrada.

Previously, the oxygen level of former Pres. Estrada dropped thus he had to be confined to the hospital. He was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for several days to aid him in his breathing and strictly monitor his condition. His condition got better.

However, recently, former President Erap was moved back in the ICU according to former Senator Jinggoy Estrada. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the son of the former President announced that his father was moved to the ICU for non-COVID patients.

“He has been brought back to the regular ICU (non covid) for monitoring and support of his blood pressure which fluctuated due to the said infection,” the former Senator said based on the report.

The family of Erap is once again asking for prayers for his immediate recovery and as well as for those who contracted COVID-19. His elder sisters also contracted the disease but were asymptomatic.
