Prince Philip’s Funeral Set on April 17 But Meghan Markle May Be Absent

PRINCE PHILIP’S FUNERAL – The Palace revealed the reason why Meghan Markle, the wife of Harry, may not be able to attend the funeral.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, died at the age of 99 years old as confirmed by his wife, Queen Elizabeth II. The Prince has spent 70 years of his life performing Royal duties.

Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II have four (4) children – Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales; Prince Andrew, the Duke of York; Princess Anne, the Princess Royal; and Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex.

The Queen is serving as the monarch of the United Kingdom for over 60 years now – so far the longest reign in the history. Her heir is her eldest child, Prince Charles. He has two (2) sons – Prince William who is the next in the throne and Harry who, together with his wife Meghan Markle, recently stepped out from their royal duties.

Based on an article on Business Times, Prince Philip’s funeral is set at at 1400 GMT on Saturday, April 17 in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, west of London. Many are surely wondering if Harry and Meghan Markle will attend the burial.

The said funeral is limited to 30 mourners if based on the guidelines of the government amid the COVID-19 pandemic now. Based on the report, the Palace confirmed that the Prince’s grandson, Harry, will come but Meghan Markle may not be able to attend.

According to the Palace, Meghan Markle may not be able to attend Prince Philip’s funeral following an advise from her doctor against travelling from the United States. She is currently pregnant with her second child with Harry.
