Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have these shocking revelations on matter surrounding the “royals”.
In a CBS interview with Oprah Winfrey, the couple who stepped back as senior members of the royal family opened up about their lives back in London and their decision to leave that behind.
During the two-hour interview, Harry and Meghan dropped bombshells. Based on the article in Deadline, the former Suits actress revealed that there were concerns in the palace regarding the skin color of their son Archie even before he was born.
The Prince, later on, revealed that a conversation about this really happened. “That conversation, I’m never going to share. It was awkward and I was a bit shocked,” he shared.
Meghan also revealed that there was a point that the press already got into her nerves and she almost gave up. That led her to think that she “didn’t want to be alive anymore.: She ackowledged that her mental health was in a crucial situation and so she sought help from the “royal family” but she did not get the help and support she needed back then.
Prince Harry said that he never blindsided his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II when they stepped back. He added that he had communicated with the Queen after that decision but revealed that his father Prince Charles stopped taking his calls.
The Prince also said that there were several instances that the “royal family” could have shown their support for Meghan but they did not do it. “I’m acutely aware of how scared my family is of the tabloids turning on the royal family,” he revealed.
He added that he was “trapped within the system, like the rest of my family”. Prince Harry also explained why they had to accept the offer from Netflix and Spotify.
The British royal said that they had to do that for financial purposes as the royal family cut them off since first quarter of 2020. He admitted that they had been using the money that his mother Princess Diana has left him.
“I’m so proud of my wife. Without question, she saved me,” Harry said. The couple is set to have a baby girl for their second child.
