Robredo Qualified For COVID Vaccine But Won’t Avail Yet

ROBREDO QUALIFIED FOR VACCINE – Vice President Leni Robredo may get vaccinated but chose not to just yet.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, hope is anchored on the availability of vaccines. However, for countries such as the Philippines, vaccine supplies are limited.

As such, Robredo, despite being diagnosed with hypertension, says she won’t avail of the vaccine. During an interview with ANC, Robredo explained:

“I’m qualified already kasi hypertensive ako. I belong to A3 [category] pero hindi pa ako nagpapa-vaccinate kasi kulang pa ng supply eh

Furthermore, Robredo said she’s not picky when it comes to the brand. However, she said that she’d follow the recommendations of the Department of Health and the Food and Drug Administration.

Additionally, the Vice President noted that her office wanted to inoculate her staff members and drivers who are always visiting different areas. Meanwhile, several mayors from Metro Manila had already been vaccinated.

This was due to President Duterte’s new mandate allowing high-ranking local government units in high-risk areas to be vaccinated. According to an article from GMA, among those vaccinated are Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Valenuzela Mayor Rex Gatchalian.
