Michael V did this song parody for the “Lugaw Issue”
Comedian Michael V, who is also popular for his song parodies, did a recent recording featuring the “Lugaw Issue” that went viral on social media.
To recall, a video of a food delivery driver caught the attention of the online community as a barangay official reprimanded him that “lugaw” is not essential. Several celebrities shared their reactions on social media regarding the viral video wherein the official is insisting that the delivery should not be allowed.
Because of this, the barangay official, identified as Phez Raymundo, received a massive amount of bashing and had to deactivate her social media account. Later on, she issued an apology to the delivery driver, identified as Marvin Ignacio.
In line with the “Lugaw Issue”, Michael V also shared his reaction through a song parody. On his YouTube channel, he shared his parody video using the song of Eraserheads titled ‘Torpedo’. The Bubble Gang star titled his parody “Essential Lang” which rhymed with the “pasensya na” lyrics of the original song.
The song parody tells the story of the viral incident in a much funny way. After 16 hours since the song premiered on the video-sharing social media platform, it already reached almost 87 thousand views.
At the end of the video of Michael V, as a COVID-19 survivor, he reminded everyone to stay at home and take necessary precautions in order not to get infected by the virus.
“Stay at home. Ang pagbabawas ng hindi importanteng lakad ay Essential. Pray for our country and the world. Ang tiwala at pananalig sa Kanya ang pinaka-essential,” the Pepito Manaloto actor said.
